Sarene Adessian

Sarene is an English Language Arts teacher who graduated from Cal State Northridge in 2004 with a double major (B.A.) in Marketing and English. She then earned an M.A. in Creative Writing in 2009, after which she began to pursue an M.A. in Education, as well as a single subject teaching credential in English.

Sarene joins the Sunbright team with eleven years of classroom teaching experience and several years of service as the English Department Chair. Sarene strongly believes that having strong critical thinking and sharp writing skills are imperative in all aspects of academia, and therefore designs all her lessons with this goal in mind.

When she’s not teaching, Sarene spends her time with her family and her three young boys. They enjoy spending time together outdoors, watching movies, and making puzzles.
